Hi, I’m Julia! I joined the Gentle Touch Family Dentistry team in November 2024 and have been incredibly fortunate to receive hands-on training from our amazing staff. Thanks to their support, I’m now cross-trained to assist in nearly every area of the practice—from greeting patients at the front desk to helping our doctors chairside or capturing X-rays for our hygienists.
One of my favorite aspects of working here is the variety—no two days are ever the same! I love being part of a team that prioritizes compassion, quality, and personalized care. Watching lives transform through the artistry of Dr. Maria Szmigiel and the meticulous attention to detail of Dr. Hillary Roberts is truly inspiring. Their mentorship, along with the generosity of the entire team, has helped me grow confident and capable in the dental field.
Outside of work, I’m just as passionate about dentistry! I love chatting about teeth with my fur-baby, Theodore, and with my family and friends. Born and raised in Plattsburgh, I’m proud to be an active member of our community. I serve regularly at my church through the worship team and youth ministry, and I find joy in spending time outdoors year-round—whether it’s soaking up the sun, singing in the rain, stomping through autumn leaves, or playing in the snow.
